BME FRT – Experience and Innovation in Virtual Reality
For the Budapest University of Technology and Economics Formula Racing Team (BME FRT), we developed an innovative and interactive virtual reality (VR) showroom that offers visitors a spectacular presentation and an immersive rail-guided racing experience.
What Makes the Race Special? The game is easy to control yet challenging: you must time your throttle pulls and releases precisely to reach maximum speed on the track. The experience is made even more realistic by the team’s digitally modeled race car and authentic engine sounds. This VR project combines technological innovation with interactive entertainment, bringing the team closer to fans and supporters. Development Steps
- Concept Design & Planning – Defining goals and expectations in collaboration with the team; designing the VR environment and race mechanics
- Virtual Environment Development – Creating and optimizing the track and surroundings for an immersive racing experience
- Audio Integration – Recording and implementing authentic car engine sounds for enhanced realism
- Interactive Gameplay Design – Developing a simple yet engaging game mechanic
- Testing & Optimization – Conducting multiple rounds of testing to eliminate bugs and enhance performance
